Services

Mentoring

The Mentoring Service was established to help young or growing eligible companies
improve their chances of survival and growth. Occasionally, developing or start up businesses encounter a specific problem or want to undertake a specific project that requires skills beyond the normal range of the Owner/manager. Our panel of ‘Mentors’ are all experienced business executives and consultants who are skilled in working with the owner/manager to specify the problem, identify solutions and implement them.

The Mentor's role:
The Mentor's role is to listen, counsel and facilitate the business owner / manager in
developing their own business skills and capacities.

The Service:
Applications for mentor support are considered in a similar manner to funding applications.
If approved, our business advisor will carry out a short assessment of your business in order to identify the most effective approach to the assignment. You will then be recommended an assignment of specific duration with a suitable mentor. Mentoring assignments take place at a time and venue suited to you, the client. Our Business Advisor monitors progress by way of regular mentor reports and optional client contact. Interested clients should download an Application form from the Downloads section of our website and either email, fax or post to the South Dublin County Enterprise Board.
